Getting Started with Market Muscles 2.0
Welcome to Market Muscles 2.0! This guide will help you get oriented with the platform and walk you through the essential first steps to set up your studio's CRM, communication tools, and marketing features.
The Key Steps
1. Log In and Explore the Dashboard
After logging in, you will land on the Dashboard. This is your studio's command center, showing a snapshot of your business at a glance:
- Monthly Vitals — track Revenue (MRR Collected, One-Time Payments, Down Payments, Trial Payments), Marketing metrics (New Leads, Appointments Set, Show Rate, Ad Spend), and Membership data (New Members, New Trials, Lost Members, Upgrades, Class Attendance)
- Dashboard Views — use the dropdown at the top-right to switch between Sales, Marketing, and other dashboard views
- Customize — click the Customize button to personalize which widgets and metrics appear on your dashboard
2. Complete the Finish Setup Wizard
In the left-hand sidebar, you will see a Finish Setup link with a progress indicator (e.g., "6/7"). Click it to open the onboarding checklist.
The setup wizard guides you through essential configuration steps such as:
- Adding your studio's business information
- Configuring your communication settings (email, SMS)
- Setting up your payment gateway
- Importing or adding your first contacts
- Creating your first membership plans
Complete each step to ensure your CRM is fully configured before you start managing contacts and billing.
3. Join a Group Onboarding Session
On the Dashboard, you will see an invitation to Join a Group Onboarding Session with the Market Muscles team. These live walkthroughs cover key areas of the platform:
- Contacts & Communication — learn how to manage contacts, send emails and SMS, and set up workflows
- Appointments & Marketing — learn how to configure schedulers, forms, and marketing tools
- Studio Setup, HR & Reports — learn how to set up your studio, manage staff, and run reports
- Studio Operations — learn how to manage memberships, billing, scheduling, and attendance

4. Learn the Navigation
The left-hand sidebar is your main navigation. Here is a quick overview of each section:
- Dashboard — your studio's performance snapshot
- Contacts — manage leads, trials, members, families, smart lists, tags, and custom fields
- Communication — manage conversations, phone calls, bulk messages, workflows, saved replies, and merge tags
- Appointments — manage calendars, bookings, and appointment schedulers
- Marketing — manage forms, AI assistants, referral programs, Facebook ads, social posts, digital signage, reputation, social proof, and embed tools
- Studio Setup — configure agreements, ranks and rosters, class management, products, curriculum, rewards and perks, and the student portal
- Studio Operations — manage attendance, finances, events, seasonal programs, birthday parties, and tasks
- HR — manage staff profiles and timekeeping
- Reports — run revenue, membership, attendance, and custom reports
- Settings — configure general settings, billing, users and roles, integrations, and API access
5. Add Your First Contacts
Click Contacts in the sidebar, then select Overview. From here you can:
- Click + Add Contact to manually create a new lead or member
- Use the Import option to bulk-import contacts from a CSV file
- Set up a Form on your website to automatically capture new leads
6. Set Up Your Communication Tools
Click Communication in the sidebar to access email, SMS, and workflow tools. Key first steps include:
- Review and customize your Saved Replies for common messages
- Set up your first Workflow to automate lead follow-up or new member onboarding
- Configure your Phone Calls settings for call tracking and SMS
7. Configure Your Studio
Click Studio Setup in the sidebar to configure the core settings that power your studio:
- Agreements — set up membership agreements and contracts for your students
- Ranks & Rosters — manage belt ranks, rosters, and student progression
- Class Management — create and manage your class schedules
- Products — configure retail products and merchandise for your pro shop
- Curriculum — define the martial arts programs and curriculum you offer
- Rewards & Perks — set up reward programs and perks for your members
- Student Portal — customize the self-service portal for your members
8. Use Quick Search and Shortcuts
At the top of the sidebar, use Quick Search (or press Cmd+K / Ctrl+K) to instantly find contacts, pages, and features across the entire CRM.
The Shortcuts section in the sidebar provides one-click access to common actions like New Enrollment.
Best Practices
- Complete the Finish Setup wizard first — this ensures all core settings are configured before you start using the CRM day-to-day
- Attend at least one onboarding session — the live walkthroughs are the fastest way to get comfortable with the platform
- Start with Contacts and Communication — getting your contacts imported and your first workflow running delivers immediate value
