Settings (CRM)
This article walks you through the Settings section of your CRM, where you manage business details, billing, communication, users, finance, integrations, and API access.

The Key Steps
- Click Settings in the left-hand navigation menu of your CRM.
From here, you’ll see multiple sections on the left-hand side:
- General
- Billing
- Communication
- Communication Wallet
- Users
- Roles & Permissions
- Finance
- Apps
- API
General Settings
- Click General.
This is where you manage your core business information.
You can update:
- Business Name
- Industry (Martial Arts or Dance)
- Location Name
- Logo
- Time Zone
- City & Address
- Social Media Links
Beta Features
- Review and opt into available Beta Features.
For example:
- Directory Listing – Lists your location in a public explore directory to help improve visibility and SEO in your area.
You can enable or disable beta features individually.
Billing
- Click Billing.
Here you can:
- View your active Market Muscles subscription
- See billing details
- Review payment history
If you are on a demo account, no active subscription will appear.
Communication Settings
- Click Communication.
This section allows you to configure:
- From Email Name
- From Email Address
- Reply-To Email Address
- Custom Sending Domain (for email verification and deliverability)
You can also configure your TCPA consent message, which will be included in automations requiring SMS consent.
Communication Wallet (SMS & Calls)
- Click Communication Wallet.
This is where you manage SMS and call credits.
Current rates:
- $0.01 to send SMS
- $0.01 to receive SMS
- $0.04 per call
You can:
- Manually top up credits
- Enable Auto Top-Up (automatically charges your Market Muscles account when balance is low)
Charges will appear as Market Muscles — not Twilio.
You can also view:
- Transaction history
- Manual adjustments
- Previous payments
Users
- Click Users.
This is where you manage team access.
You can:
- Invite a new user
- Enter their email address
- Assign a role (Owner, Admin, Staff)
- Assign permission levels
- Choose which locations they can access (if multi-location)
Roles & Permissions
- Click Roles & Permissions.
Here you can:
- View existing roles
- Create a new custom role
- Edit permissions for each role
When creating a role:
- Name the role
- Select specific permissions
- Restrict access based on job function
This allows you to lock down system access based on responsibilities.
Finance Settings
- Click Finance.
This is where you configure your payment gateway and financial settings.
Payment Gateway
You can connect:
- Stripe
- Authorize.net
- PayPal
Processing fees are typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.
You may also enable ACH bank transfers.
⚠️ Important:
Once a gateway is selected and you have active subscriptions, you cannot switch gateways unless all active subscriptions are canceled.
Additional Finance Settings
You can also configure:
- Location Currency
- Exchange tracking (for reporting only)
- Tax Rate
Taxes can be applied to:
- Memberships
- Events & Seminars
- Point of Sale items
You’ll also see a fee summary breakdown including subtotal and total charge.
Apps & Integrations
- Click Apps.
This is where you manage integrations.
Examples include:
- KickSite (requires subdomain & client ID)
- Facebook Ads account selection
- SMS & Phone Number settings
You can:
- View your assigned phone number
- Configure call routing
- Enable automatic call recording
- Disconnect integrations if needed
API Access
- Click API.
Here you can:
- Create a custom API key
- Name your API
- Use it for external integrations (e.g., Zapier or custom builds)
This is ideal for advanced users who want to create custom workflows or integrations outside the system.
