Student Portal 

This article will walk you through how to set up and customize the Student Portal inside the Market Muscles CRM, located under the Studio Operations tab.

The Student Portal is the student-facing experience where members can view their information, billing, shop items, events, and more.

The Key Steps

1. Click the Studio Operations tab in the left-hand navigation menu of your CRM Dashboard.

2. Click on Student Portal.

This will open your Student Portal configuration settings.

Customizing the Student Portal

Inside the Student Portal settings, you can fully customize the look and functionality.

Branding & Appearance

You can:

  • Upload a Logo
  • Select a Primary Color
  • Add a Welcome Message

These settings control the overall look and feel of the portal.

Controlling Feature Visibility

You can toggle different sections of the portal on or off, depending on what your studio uses.

For example:

  • Turn off Events if you don’t use them
  • Disable Billing & Payments if you don’t want students viewing that section
  • Control visibility of other portal features as needed

This ensures students only see the tools relevant to your studio.

Adding Custom Navigation Links

3. Add Custom Links to the navigation bar.

You can:

  • Enter a Link Name
  • Paste the Destination URL
  • Choose where it appears in the navigation

This is great for linking to external resources, waivers, curriculum videos, or special announcements.

Announcements

You can create an Announcement Message that displays inside the portal.

This is ideal for:

  • Upcoming events
  • Testing reminders
  • Schedule changes
  • Studio-wide updates

Managing Portal Access

Within the Student Portal settings, you can:

  • View who is currently active in the portal
  • See who has logged in
  • Revoke access if necessary

This gives you full control over who can access your student-facing system.

Previewing the Student Portal

4. Click Copy Portal URL.

Paste this link into your browser to preview the portal experience.

When a student accesses the portal:

  • They enter their email address
  • They receive a secure “magic link” via email
  • Clicking the link logs them directly into the portal

If their access has not been revoked, they’ll be successfully logged in.

What Students Can See Inside the Portal

Once logged in, students may have access to:

  • Quick Links
  • Shop
  • Billing
  • Profile Information
  • Ranks (if enabled)
  • Custom Links you’ve added

The navigation bar on the left-hand side allows students to move between sections.
