Step 2 - Settings

General

The General Settings area is where you’ll customize foundational details about your business. From branding and contact info to communication preferences and social links — this section helps shape how your business is represented across your Market Muscles CRM experience.

Location Settings

This is where you’ll configure core business information that gets used throughout your CRM, emails, and branded pages.

  • Logo Upload - Upload your business logo for use across your CRM account and branded emails.
  • Business Address -  Enter your studio or school’s physical address.
  • Email & Phone Number - These will be used as your default contact information and may appear in various automated communications.

Tip: Make sure your business name, address, and contact info are always accurate for professionalism and deliverability.

Communication Settings

Fine-tune how your business communicates through email.

From Name

  • This is the name that appears in your recipients’ inboxes when they receive an email from you.
  • Recommended: Use your business name or the owner’s full name for clarity and recognition.
    • Examples: New York Karate Studio, John Smith

From Email Address

  • This is the actual email address your messages will be sent from.
  • Important: This must be a business domain email (e.g., info@yourstudio.com).
    • ❌ Do not use @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, etc.
  • Recommended Format:info@yourdomain.com

Reply-To Email Address

  • If someone replies to one of your emails, this is where the reply will go.
  • Leave this blank to use the same as your “From” address, or customize it if you want replies routed to a different inbox (like a support team or assistant).

Tip: Using a domain-based email improves deliverability and helps avoid spam filters.

Social Media Links

Here you can link your business’s social media profiles to display across your site and communications.

  • Add URLs to platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and more.
  • These links may appear on your website footer, email templates, and lead forms depending on your configuration.

Enable Beta Features

Want early access to cutting-edge features?

  • Toggle this option on to enable beta features.
  • You'll get to test upcoming tools and improvements before they’re widely released.

Note: Beta features may be experimental and subject to change — your feedback helps shape them!

Finance

The Finance Settings section allows you to manage how your business handles taxes, processing fees, and accepted payment methods inside Market Muscles CRM. These settings ensure your payment experience is aligned with your financial policies and local regulations.

Tax Settings

If your business sells retail items (like uniforms, gear, drinks, apparel, etc.), this is where you decide whether to charge tax on those items.

What You Can Configure:

  • Enable/Disable Tax for retail purchases
  • Set a Tax Percentage (e.g., 6.25% for Massachusetts)

Tip: Be sure to check your local tax laws to ensure you’re charging the correct rate.

Fee Settings

Here, you can choose whether or not to pass credit card processing fees onto your customers.

What This Means:

  • When enabled, customers will see a small additional fee (e.g., 2.9% + 30¢) added to their total during checkout.
  • This helps your business recover transaction costs associated with accepting credit card payments.

Note: Some states have specific laws about passing credit card fees to customers. Please consult with your legal or tax advisor to ensure compliance.

Payment Method Settings

Choose which types of payments you want to accept through your CRM checkout pages.

Available Payment Options:

  • Credit & Debit Cards
  • Digital Wallets (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay – depending on Stripe settings)
  • Link (Stripe’s email recognition system to make payments easier)

Recommended: Keep all available payment methods toggled ON to give your customers more flexibility and reduce checkout friction.

SMS Settings

The SMS Settings section enables your CRM to send text messages to leads, members, and other contacts — an essential tool for communication and automation. This is where you'll set up your dedicated texting number, monitor your balance, and configure responsible message timing.

Register Your Local SMS Phone Number

Before you can send text messages from the system, you’ll need to register a dedicated phone number.

How to Register:

  • Your 3-digit area code should auto-fill based on your location.
  • You can edit the area code if needed.
  • Click “Claim Number” to register the phone number.

Note: Phone numbers are limited — if a number with your preferred area code isn't available, you may need to choose an alternative area code.

Once claimed, this number will be used for all inbound and outbound SMS communication from your CRM.

SMS Balance & Pricing

After registering your number, you’ll be able to view your current SMS credit balance.

  • SMS credits are sold at-cost — typically up to 90% cheaper than popular competitors.
  • You'll always have visibility into your remaining balance before automating or sending texts.

SMS Transaction History

Every text message sent through the platform is logged in your transaction history.

  • See a real-time running log of SMS activity.
  • Track individual message charges and balance adjustments.
  • Great for internal tracking and accountability.

Set “Nice Times” for Automated SMS

To make sure your contacts don’t receive messages at odd hours, you can define "Nice Times" — the hours during which automated texts are allowed to go out.

  • Applies to automated workflows and drip campaigns.
  • Prevents accidental early-morning or late-night messages.
  • Keeps your communication timely and respectful.

Example: Set messages to only send between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM local time.

The Notifications section in Market Muscles CRM helps you stay on top of key activity by sending real-time email and/or SMS alerts to you and your team. Whether it’s a new lead or a completed sale, these notifications ensure you're always in the loop and ready to act.
