How to Create a Bulk Message
The Key Steps
- Click the Communication dropdown menu in your left-hand on your backend dashboard.
- Click Bulk Messages in the sub-menu.
- Click the green New Bulk Message at the top-right of the page.
- Choose whether you'd like the message to be an email or SMS message in the pop-up window that will display on the right.
- If you choose Email, you'll have the option to choose from one of your templates you've built or start from a blank template. If you'd like to create your own template for bulk messages, here is a help article that gives you step-by-step instructions on how to do that.
- The option to build a new Email Bulk Message will have a menu on the right where yo can customize the bulk email with the following tabs:
- Content Tab - You can drag and drop the content blocks you'd like in the email template
- Blocks Tab - You can select the format in which you'd like the blocks to be displayed through the template.
- Body Tab - You can change style settings like Text and background color, alignment, font and font weight, etc.
- If you choose for your bulk message to be an SMS message, you'll be directed to a menu where you can add the text you want to be in the bulk message and attach any images of files to the message as well.
- Once you've built out your bulk message, click the green Next button at the top-right of the page.
- At the top of this page, you'll have two options: Send Now or Schedule Later.
- If you'd like to Send the Message Now, you'll need to choose who the recipients who will receive or contacts you would not like to receive this message. The recipient lists are the same as your Smart Lists. If you'd like to build a new Smart List, you can do so by clicking the help article here
- If you'd like to Schedule the Message for Later, you'll have the option to select the calendar day and time of day the bulk message sends out. Then, you'll need to choose who the recipients who will receive or contacts you would not like to receive this message. The recipient lists are the same as your Smart Lists. - After you've scheduled the message and/or chosen your recipients, click the green button at the top right labeled Send or Schedule.
