How to Build a Custom Form

The Key Steps

  1. Click the Marketing dropdown on your left-hand navigation menu on your backend dashboard.
  2. Click Forms in the sub-menu
  3. Click the green Add Form button in the top-right, then give the form a title, then click the green Create Form button in the bottom-right.
  4. You'll see a menu on the left of the editor with different tabs:
    1. The Information tab is where you can edit the title of a form and add a description or tags to better organize your forms.
    2. The Form Structure tab is where you can organize the current blocks on the form or add more. If you're adding more blocks, a menu will display to the left where you can choose the block you'd like to add and ways to customize it. (more in the video below)
    3. The Customization tab is where you can edit the color of the form background, set custom logos, add images, etc.
    4. The About Submissions tab is where you can set whether or not a person that submits a form will be added as a new contact, or update a previous contact. You will also set the Thank You message for after someone submits the form.
    5. The Form Access tab is where you can set a password for the form, limit the number of entries, or close the form until a scheduled date.
    6. The Security and Privacy tab is where you can set if the form is indexed by Google or if you'd like the form protected with a Captcha.
    7. The Link Settings - SEO tab is where you can customize the page title, logo, social share image, and description people see when you share the link on social media or through a message.
    8. The Custom Code tab is where you can add any CSS for your page to customize it further.
  5. After you've set all the necessary information, you can hit the green Next button to set the notifications for the form.
  6. On this page, you'll be able to set whether you'd like the form to send a notification to the email(s) or phone number(s) you have in our system, or if you'd like the submission to turn in to a new contact.
  7. Once you've set that, you can hit the green Save button to save your new form.
  8. To see your new form live, and have the URL to share this form, click the green View Form button.
