How to setup the Digital Signage Display

Overview

Digital Signage is Market Muscles’ newest display solution, formerly known as Market Muscles TV. This feature is a completely new system built from the ground up, allowing you to create dynamic, customizable screens with images, videos, text, clocks, QR codes, weather, RSS feeds, and more. Existing Market Muscles TV users can continue using the legacy system, but Digital Signage operates separately with enhanced functionality.

The Key Steps

Access Digital Signage

  1. Click Digital Signage in the left-hand navigation menu of your Market Muscles dashboard, underneath the Marketing Tab.
  2. You’ll be taken to a screen where you can view all existing screens or create a new one.

Create a New Screen

  1. Click the New Screen button.
  2. Enter your screen details and proceed to the slide builder.

You can also click into an existing screen to edit or preview it.

Add and Build Slides

  1. In the Slides section, click the + (plus) icon to add a new slide.
  2. Choose a layout for your slide.
    • Templates are coming soon.
    • Current options include split layouts and multi-zone layouts.
  3. Select what content you want to display in each zone, such as:
    • Image
    • Video
    • Text
    • Clock
    • QR Code
    • Weather
    • RSS Feed
  4. Once added, all slides will appear in a list on the left-hand side.

Customize Slide Content

  1. Click on a slide to open its settings.
  2. Use the right-hand panel to:
    • Upload an image or paste an image URL.
    • Adjust the slide duration.
    • Customize colors, text styling, and backgrounds (for elements like clocks or text).
  3. Change the slide layout at any time while keeping existing content.

Use Advanced Content Options

  • QR Codes: Add QR codes for events, promotions, or links.
  • Countdown Timers: Display countdowns for upcoming events.
  • Weather: Show real-time weather information.
  • RSS Feeds: Pull in live content from external feeds.

You can mix and match these elements across multiple slides for a fully dynamic display.

Preview Your Screen

  1. Click the Preview button to see how your digital signage will appear on a TV.
  2. The system automatically adjusts scaling and zoom to ensure proper display on different screen sizes.

Configure Screen Settings

  1. Open Screen Settings.
  2. Customize the following options:
    • Upload and display your logo.
    • Select screen orientation:
      • Portrait
      • Landscape
      • Auto-detect
    • Enable Low Bandwidth Mode to optimize images for slower connections.
    • Configure the News Ticker:
      • Enter ticker text
      • Adjust speed
      • Customize colors

Publish and Connect to Your TV

You have two options for publishing your digital signage:

Option 1: Connect Directly to a TV (Recommended)

  1. Click Connect to TV.
  2. On your TV, navigate to the provided webpage.
  3. Enter the displayed connection code.
  4. Your TV will automatically sync with your digital signage screen.

Option 2: Display via Link

  1. Copy the provided display link.
  2. Open the link on your TV or preferred display device.

Automatic Updates & Reliability

  • All updates, refresh rates, and content syncing are handled automatically.
  • No manual updates or support requests are required to keep your signage up to date.
